City lost to Tottenham at the weekend but came back in style with a 5-0 win over Norwich on Saturday and Neville and Carragher believe Pep Guardiola's side - who added £ 100m Jack Grealish to their squad and could go to Tottenham's Harry Kane in the final week of the transfer window.
"Man City is Man City," Carragher said. "Liverpool are the only team to lose, once in the last four years. It will take a lot to do that again soon. It will be very difficult to stop City if Kane goes there. But if he doesn't do that, I think it's a lot of fighting.
Neville agreed. "You still have to go with Man City for what they did over the years [whatever happened to Kane] and Chelsea still have to prove themselves, Manchester United have to prove themselves, Liverpool have to prove they can get you back to where they were before."
