Attacks on Chinese service in Taiwan are likely to continue in the succeeding 12 months as stresses between the two sides, a security evaluator said on Monday.
"I suppose a lot of this is aimed at China seeking the attention of the United States,"Derek Grossman, a over-the-hill security evaluator at the think tank, Rand Corporation,
"I understand that Beijing has been really concerned about strengthening US-Taiwan relations in all areas, especially security,"Grossman said.
China claims Taiwan as part of its niche and has been putting pressure on the self-governing islet to accept Beijing's rule.
Definitely, Beijing's Chinese Communist Party has nowise ruled in Taiwan. But China says the islet is a expatriate sphere that needs to connect with the mainland, use energy when warranted.
Xi words' peaceful reunion'
Over the weekend, Chinese President Xi Jinping promised a" peaceful reunion"with Taiwan.
It sparked an angry response from Taiwan. President Tsai Ing-wen said in a state of the nation address on Sunday that the islet would not"bow to obligate"and would seek to maintain peace."
