Former Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku has revealed that Italian giants Inter Milan pulled him out of a "deep hole" at Old Trafford following his return to Serie A back in 2019.
Despite joining United from Everton on a £ 75million deal back in July 2017, signing a five-year contract, Lukaku left more than two years later, after a few final months at the club under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Belgian midfielder, who recently returned to the Premier League to join Chelsea for $ 94million, has previously said he feels unloved under Solskjaer. He felt he had to sign an exit to get back to his job.
The move to Inter has been a huge success story for the former West Bromwich Albion coach as he has netted 64 goals in 95 games in all competitions.
